As a youth flag football coach for in Colorado Springs, I fully realize the difficulties in not only teaching young players the basics of the game and their position responsibilities, but further keeping their immediate focus and enthusiastic interest in participation.

Most leagues put a tremendous emphasis on FUN for its youth athletes.  Unfortunately, young players often struggle to understand the strategies of the game and what their particular role on the field is.  If a child becomes frustrated or overwhelmed with his/her assignments, the goal of FUN is never accomplished. 

We have found the solution to these core issues and have recently launched the only interactive wristband system in world.  Wristband Interactive™ is connected to an online library of over 700 plays and allows any a coach, regardless of experience level or sophistication, to develop a simplistic, efficient game plan that kids can easily understand.  Wristband Interactive™ is a mobile, interactive playbook that players can take on the field.

For the young player who has just been introduced to flag football, the prospect of actually playing on a real team with other players and carrying out specific responsibilities that the team requires can be a very overwhelming proposition.  Telling a young child, who is already overcome with concern and doubt about his abilities, to line up on left side of the line at a specific location and run a “post corner” can be an exercise in frustration for both coach and player.  However, if that same child has a color-coded route assignment on his wrist that shows where to line up and what to do, that child’s ability to successfully complete his assigned task is greatly enhanced. 

With each success, that young player becomes more confident and enthusiastic about playing the game.  This player confidence and understanding allows the coach to place more focused time on other core lessons that the child needs for playing the game.
